Hmmm....

So, I took some extremely random photos today. Then, I made Sarah my lovely sister model for a VERY long time for some of my homework assignments. (Thank you dear sister for almost always being willing to help me. :)

I have had this Faith doll for so so long... I don't even know how many years but she always reminds me of a Sunday-school teacher I had when a was little. Mrs. Joanne. So today, I took a picture of her!!! haha Lovely, I know.

I was missing Guatemala and all of the wonderful people that I grew so close to while there so I took a picture of the little doll I brought home with me.

This is right before Sarah and I both had major laugh attacks becasue of a BRILLIANT idea we had. It has to do with our next photo-shoot with complete strangers. :D

Are these super cool or what?? They are painted on a bench that someone made for me when I was a baby. I want a hat like that..

We're ghosts.

NBD.

We're there...

but not really...

The other day I said something quite strange and then followed it with "Hey, Luke, is that weird that I just said that?" His reply was "Well, you are already weird which makes you saying something weird not really that weird..."

So, in case you're wondering... this post really isn't that weird. ;)

So I decided to learn some new editing effects on GIMP today. You-tube tutorials can be amazing things... haha So I put on my
 SUPER COOL snowboots >>>>>
and went outside to take a few pictures to practice editing. I got outside and decided not to go too far because it is so cold. In fact.. I didn't even leave the porch.... haha My fingers were freezing!!! So I snapped a few pictures and ran back inside.

Here are a few pictures.

My Orchid Bloomed. Exciting, I know!

Last mothers day I gave my mom this orchid. We've kept it alive for almost a year! This week it finally bloomed again! Each day last week I took a picture of it as it opened more and more. Mom was SO excited that her orchid was going to bloom, she would remind me each day to take a picture of it. But... the day it bloomed she left for Florida to go stay with my Grandparents for a while! Oh well...

Last night was Winter-Jam in KC! Dad wanted to go with us but he had a meeting at 3 so we didn't leave until 4 which means we didn't get there until after 5 (which was when the doors opened). We stood in line for about an hour and a half before we were told it was sold out. After a while a big circle formed and someone started playing a guitar (not that we could hear it. haha). After a while we figure out that it was Sidewalk Prophets.  They played 4 or 5 songs and it was just a really cool time of worship circled up outside of the Sprint Center. Once they were done people kind of cleared out and an ice-cream van pulled up. (News flash: Ice-cream vans creeeeep me out.) Luke went over to the ice-cream van as he saw the guys from Sidewalk Prophets go over there and they took a little video interview of him and then bought him ice-cream. He was sort of excited about that... then dad started talking to some people he knew (Johnny Williams finding someone he knows and talking to them forever?? Weird... I know..) so we just sat around for a long time while he talked. THEN as we started back to the car it started to rain. hahaha It was pretty exciting. It got even more exciting when dad couldn't remember for sure which street he had parked on!!! AND THEN IT GOT EVEN MORE EXCITING when we found the Ke$ha concert! haha Lots of netting and glitter on the people standing in that line. So as we were passing I stood in the Ke$ha line for a little while... just to say I did. Cool, I know. SO last night I stood in line for 2 concerts and didn't get into EITHER! But we went to dinner and it was still a good night. :)

I bought myself Flowers

Drew, Jessi, Luke, and I stopped at Walmart on our way home from teaching Wednesday bible class at the Atchison daycare yesterday. I just sat on the bench up front while everyone else did their thing and after a while Drew walked by with a bouquet of flowers for Claire soooooo I decided to buy myself some!!! Yay for 50% off Valentines flowers! I hope this story was very inspiring to you. I know it is very deep and hard to comprehend. I know it was a life changing story for me and I hope it will be the same for you.

On a more serious note... IT IS FEBRUARY AND I AM WEARING A T-SHIRT, SHORTS, & FLIP FLOPS!!! *screams with excitement* It is bright and sunny and 71 degrees! So I think I'm going to go sit on my trampoline and study some and read some and sleep some.. haha

Thanks for wasting your time reading this pointless blog entry! ;)

King Jesus

Some of my bible study girls from last summer. :)

I work with the Jr. High girls on Wednesdays at my church and I absolutely love them. :) We have worship time together with the Sr. High and tonight as we were singing I just stopped to listen (I love to do this) and although it was terribly off key and not everyone was together and some were clapping totally NOT with the music, it was the most beautiful thing I had heard all day. All these youth coming together and lifting up their voices to praise Jesus. Amazing. I was just really able to enter into an amazing time of worship!

By the time we got to the next song though it had turned into everyone singing as loudly and off key as they could and purposely not clapping together. So my feet moved to the stage and my mouth shared a reminder that we are singing to God our Heavenly Father and that he is listening to us. That we can still have fun with it and clap and dance but to keep in mind why we are doing that. And to not be afraid to actually worship. To not be "to cool" to care. To really focus on the words we were singing.

"Our God IS greater, our God IS stronger, God you are higher than ANY other.
Our God IS Healer, Awesome in Power, Our God! Our God! And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us? And if our God is with us, then what could stand against?"

Simply amazing.

This video was also shown tonight which is very cool. I watched it the other day and was like "Yeah... that is pretty neat." But then tonight I read through all of it and I was blown away. So I would greatly encourage you to read through it. And once you start... don't stop. I know it is a TON to read but it is worth it. Also, here is the video. Handy dandy! I know.. ;)

Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated, and never Undone!
He was bruised and brought healing!
He was pierced and eased pain!
He was persecuted and brought freedom!
He was dead and brought life!
He is risen and brings power!

The world can’t understand him,

The leaders can’t ignore Him.
Herod couldn’t kill Him,
The Pharisees couldn’t confuse Him, and
The people couldn’t hold Him!

He is my Redeemer, He is my Savior,
He is my guide, and He is my peace!
He is my Joy, He is my comfort,
He is my Lord, and He rules my life!
I serve Him because His bond is love,
His burden is light, and His goal for me is abundant life.
I follow Him because He is:
the wisdom of the wise,
the Power of the powerful,
the Ancient of days,
the Ruler of rulers,
the Leader of leaders,
the Overseer of the overcomers, and
the Sovereign Lord of all that was and is and is to come.
And if that seems impressive to you, try this for size:
His goal is a relationship with me!
He will never leave me,
never forsake me,
never mislead me,
never forget me,
never overlook me,
and never cancel my appointment in His appointment book!
When I fall, He lifts me up!
When I fail, He forgives!
When I am weak, He is strong!
When I am lost, He is the way!
When I am afraid, He is my courage!
When I stumble, He steadies me!
When I am hurt, He heals me!
When I am broken, He mends me!
When I am blind, He leads me!
When I am hungry, He feeds me!
When I face trials, He is with me!
When I face persecution, He shields me!
When I face problems, He comforts me!
When I face loss, He provides for me!
When I face death, He carries me Home!
He is everything for everybody, everywhere, every time, and every way.
He is God, He is faithful.
I am His, and He is mine!
My Father in heaven can whip the father of this world!
So, if you’re wondering why I feel so secure, know and understand this . . .
God said it and that settles it. God is in control, I am on His side, and that means all is
well with my soul.
