If I were an Animal...

      If I were an animal.... I'd be a fox.

"ANDIT CAN BE?" I haven't cut those letters out of the paper and arranged them yet. NO I didn't do it wrong. :)

I've spent the day editing photos from two wonderfully fun photo sessions I did yesterday and working on four orders of art work! :D

Oh, how I LOVE getting paid to do what I love.

I think that Jared, (My wonderful boyfriend;) is getting sick of hearing me talk about how much I love it. 

PS. This bowl of egg shells was sitting in my kitchen like this. When I saw it 

I cracked up. (pun intended) So I thought I'd share it with you.

Also, Don't forget that even though Easter was two days ago... Jesus is STILL ALIVE today! Don't stop celebrating that.

The Hymnal Projects

     So, in my last post I made a point to let everyone know that I'm not obsessed with bird's nests, right? But I'm not gonna lie... I do have an obsession with hymnals. I've decided to start..... (ready for it?) 

*dramatic pause* 

THE HYMNAL PROJECTS.

I've done so many projects using hymnals and I absolutely love it! Now, when I start a new art project sometimes my family will say "You're not using hymnals on this are you?" and I just smile and say "Yepp!"

That's one of my favorite things about art. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about it. (Unless you are trying to sell it) YOU are the artist. YOU are in control. You can use your very own two hands to make your very own piece of art however you want to make it! Which brings me to another point... Does it amaze anyone else as much as it does me the abilities that our Creator gave us? The things that we can do and make with our hands? And to be able to see the beauty of it with our eyes and touch and feel it with our finger tips. 

It really is amazing. Thank you, Jesus. 

So anyway, back to.... THE HYMNAL PROJECTS. I really don't know what I'm doing.. haha It just sounded fancy. 

Today's HYMNAL PROJECT: Hymnal Garland 

It is going in my prop box for photo shoots. Maybe it will come in handy some day. I also have another idea for it but........ :)

I ALSO almost stepped on this little baby while taking pictures. Instead... I will eat it. YUM.

I promise I'm not obsessed.

Okay, although it may appear that I am obsessed with bird's nests.... 

I am not. I promise. 

Cross my heart and hope to travel the world some day. 

BUT when I see things that I know I am capable of making.. I just.... can't.... help.... myself. 

So if YOU happen to be obsessed with bird's nests and you REALLY want a ring, I made one JUST for you that you can and should buy from me! 

Yes, my fingers are double jointed. No it is not an illusion that my middle finger is bending backwards.

Once upon a time...

     Yesterday it was so gorgeous outside that I just HAD to go for a walk.

I absolutely LOVE taking my ipod and just wandering through the woods during this time of year. All of the wild flowers popping up and new baby grass and plants springing up from the ground simply breathtaking. Sometimes I even get down on my hands and knees in the dirt to get a close look of the moss that grows on the forest floor. Oh how I love that bright greenish yellow moss. 

    

 When I go for these walks and just take in all of God's beauty that He shows us through His creation I just can't help but be in absolute awe of Him. 

   

  Every single time that I go for these walks I always somehow find myself feeling like I'm a little girl in a story book.. or a fairy tale. It is just that perfect and beautiful! And with my ipod and ear-buds I can control the soundtrack of my story depending on my mood. And somehow... it always always always gets turned into much more than just a story from a story book, or a fairy-tale. Somewhere along the line with my music ringing through my ears it is turned into a musical. A full out dancing, singing, jumping on rocks & logs, and picking flowers kind of MUSICAL! 

But the only reason that I do all of that is because I am completely alone and NO ONE knows. Shhhh! Don't tell.

And so was inspired these photos from this afternoon. Yeah, kinda silly, 

but I needed to express how I feel every time I go on those magical walks through the tall  strong trees and the little tiny blooming flowers. I want you to be able to go there with me if only for just a few seconds in a few silly photos.

We are FREE.

So, the only plain wall in the house is in my parents bathroom which doesn't happen 

to have a whole lot of room in it. So the picture looks extremely distorted due to me not being straight on with the canvas while taking the picture.

 Looky what I made this week! 

A friend (Named Faith. Awesome name, I know!) saw that I had repinned something like this on Pinterest and thinking that I had made it, called me asking if I could make one for her! I told her that I had just repinned that and not actually made it myself but that I would love to make one for her and TA-DA!!! 

     I painted something else yesterday but I'm going to wait until later to post it. :)

First wedding!

Yepp, I did my first wedding on New Year's Eve! 

It was definitely a huge learning experience. Very stressful yet fun and exciting! 

I've been keeping busy with my craft projects as well! I like to call it art because it sounds fancier... haha "I am an artist." vs. "Yeah, I craft." 

My 75c thrift store lamp! This was a fun afternoon project that I had been wanting 

to do for a while. I have been told that my hymnal obsession is getting a little out of control. I choose to ignore anyone who says that to me. 

I made some bird nest necklaces! Thank you, Pinterest! 

And this is where I say "Goodbye for now, I WILL be back soon!" I am NOT going to let 

so much time go by between blog posts anymore. Plus, I already have some other posts ready to post. But I'm going to Save them for later in the week.
